                                    Subject: ACG - 60th anniv C-3?
                                    
                                    Has anyone heard anything recent about the 60th anniversary C-3?  I spoke
                                    with Kay Linda (sp?) at Argus about a month ago, and things seemed a bit
                                    vague then.  I checked the Hammacher-Schlemmer website yesterday and they're
                                    not listing it.
                                    
                                    Kay Linda said there was some chance Argus would make some of the C-3s
                                    available directly to collectors; apparently they have a contract with H-S
                                    for a certain number of them, so I guess that depends on how many they

                                    Last time I talked to Kalinda, the target date was father's day. At that time
                                    they were looking for 350 C3's for the 60th ann. model. Haven't heard about
                                    some for collectors. I mentioned it to the people at Argus, but they didn't
                                    seem very interested. Maybe they have had a change of heart.

                                    Phillip, I don't know about Argus' marketing plans, but they are not
                                    building these cameras, they are refurbishing them out of those
                                    purchased from private parties.  I sold my Match-Matic to them for
                                    $25.00, and there was even a mention of Argus buying back cameras in
                                    Shutterbug last month.
